Friday Feature Teacher: Meet Vicky
I am really exicited about this week's Friday Feature Teacher. I met Vicky on my first week of selling on TpT. She was happy to give me plenty of advice and share her wisdom. She was such a great help to me in the beginning! And I absolutely love her products! I know you will too!
Meet Vicky from SciPi :-)
How many years have you been teaching?
32
Together, my husband and I have taught for over 70 years, and neither of us would want to do anything else! He teaches science, and I currently teach remedial math on the college level.
What is your favorite memory as a teacher?
Having one of my ornery third graders in my college education classes.
Tell us about your teaching style.
Hands-on and energetic
Tell us something interesting about you.
I am a cancer survivor that shouldn't be here!!!
What can we find on your blog?
Articles on how to teach mathphobics!
What is your favorite product in your TpT store? Why?
Number Tile Activities for Grades 5-8
It allows students to be challenged and to practice math while having fun. Since the students have the freedom to move the tiles around, they are more engaged and more willing to try multiple methods to find the solution.

Friday Feature Teacher: Dee
Well we have come to another weeks end...
I hope many of you have had good rewarding weeks in your classrooms. My favorite is watching the facial expressions of Kindergarteners while they read. It will never get old.
Time to meet another Friday Feature Teacher!
Meet Dee :-)
How many years have you been teaching?
8 years
What is your favorite memory as a teacher?
I have a lot of favorite memories. But, I guess the one that really makes me tear up is , one year I had a child in my 3rd grade classroom and he wasn't reading on level. I worked with him and worked with him individually. His reading level began to increase. In one school year, he went from about a 1.6 grade level to a 3.1 grade level. This young man still to this day will talk about how hard we worked to get him ready for fourth grade.
Tell us about your teaching style.
Because I now teach Gifted/Talented. I have a range of students in grades from 2-6. So everything I do is differentiated based not only on grade levels but learning styles as well. I use a lot of centers, independent study, and problem based learning in my classroom.
Tell us something interesting about you.
I love to write. It is a passion of mine. Last year I participated in the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) contest and finished my first novel.
What can we find on your blog?
My blog has been off and on recently. But I hope to get back in the swing of things and start posting some of the activities that we do in my classroom. I have a few article topics on Gifted/Talented that I am going to begin posting very soon as well.
What is your favorite product in your TpT store? Why?
Because I love to write, my favorite product in my TpT store would be my Writing Prompts Task Cards that are perfect to get students off to doing some great creative writing.

Friday Feature Teacher: Meet Brenda!
Hey Gang!
Happy Happy Happy Friday! Two great things happened this week...
1. Duck Dynasty is back Jack!
2. We get to meet our first Feature Teacher
Meet Brenda from Teaching, Dreaming, Learning.
Here is Brenda's Interview
How many years have you been teaching?
11 years
What is your favorite memory as a teacher?
I will never forget the two years I looped with my class. I taught them 2nd grade and 3rd grade and made such amazing connections with my kids and their families! It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone!
Tell us about your teaching style.
I am all about 21st century learning! I believe that children today need to learn differently than when I was in school. I try to foster their world of being "plugged in" all the time with the standards to come up with interesting ways to keep them engaged.
Tell us something interesting about you.
I am a twin...and I think I am the luckiest person alive because of it :)
What can we find on your blog?
Lots of top ten lists, links to web 2.0 tools, tutorials on technology links, ipad ideas, and lots and lots of pictures of my classroom.
What is your favorite product in your TpT store? Why?
My writing bundle. I think it is everything a teacher needs to foster creative, choice-based pieces of writing that students are passionate about. I have used every lesson myself and I have seen it in action.

"So much I like about this resource! What I really appreciate most are the simple and direct directions for teaching the procedures of morning meetings. I was looking for something to help build more continuity in my morning meeting routine and I have no doubt this fits the bill. Thanks!"
